OUR STORY - 2021 BRITISH GRAND PRIX SILVERSTONE
Showing what Motorsport Camping and Glamping at Silverstone for the 2021 British Grand Prix was really like and how the people were treated for the British Grand Prix. "Wayne" as he was known as on all communication. His real name is Philip Wayne Atkinson he is a scam artist and thief. We were told that furniture would be provided, there were only a handful of tents with beds and it became a free for all. We had to select our own "mattress" from a pile on the ground.
The campsite was overbooked so there were not enough tents for people who then had to sell their Grand Prix tickets as they had no where else to go.
The Glampers were half board so should have been provided with breakfast and dinner. We got a free pizza from one of the vendors who only agreed to that after "Wayne" paid her. He was paying for 30 pizzas at a time so there was a long wait for him to pay. This was only available on the Thursday night.
I had to sleep on the floor with a mattress despite paying for a double bed. My girlfriend was able to put a mattress on a camp bed but did not have a pillow. The linen we were provided with was filthy as were the mattresses with suspicious stains on them.
Wayne ran away from the campsite on the Thursday night (15th July) so wasn't able to help the people that arrived the following days. He was not seen again and no one had heard from him. He sent a text message asking for contact details a week after the Grand Prix but has not been in contact since then. We tried to get a refund through Booking.com but they said he rejected the claim and were not wiling and/or able to do anything about our experience.
This was an Events Research Programme for the Government to get us out of Covid Restrictions and there was no sanitizing or cleaning of any time. There were no bins for rubbish and we ended up taking our rubbish home with us.

After a stressful year on lockdown I thought the British Grand Prix at Silverstone would be a great way to let off some steam. Unfortunately, enter "Wayne". Having booked the Grand Prix I looked at campsites and found Motorsport Camping and Glamping on Book.com and the pictures provided looked amazing and booked it. On arrival Public Health England were on site saying they may need to shut down the site due to health and safety concerns.

4 of these showers for 400 people kept cleaned daily!
After the farce of the wooden blocks they managed to hire 4 showers which arrived late on Friday night and were not in action until Saturday afternoon
